If you have a question about the Stay Home Wushu Championships feel free to comment below and we will respond asap! Thank you!
Tie Breakers?
Ties will only be broken in the event there is a tie for one of the top 3 spots. Your score from the elimination round will not affect your score in the final round. If you tie during the finals we will put it to a vote by the viewers.
Grand champion?
Grand champ will also be awarded by a vote from the viewers. All the gold medalists will have their videos posted to a page that will take in and tabulate votes from viewers. More info about where to vote will be available Saturday June 20th.
How will judging work?
There will be two rounds; an elimination round and then the finals. If you are eliminated in the elimination round you will not move forward to the finals. Top 3 athletes in each division will move forward to the final round. Your score from the elimination round does not count toward your score in the finals. The finals will be held live on select social media platforms Saturday, June 20th.
Judges will be judging your performance based on the tangible and intangible qualities of movement and overall performance. Defects in shen fa, structure, and intent will result in a lower score. Your score will not be based on the difficulty of your movements just the quality. Be strategic, if you do an aerial for example it will not add to your score but if you do a bad aerial you will receive a lower score. Then again, ties during the finals will be broken by a vote from the viewers so if you’re confident you will make it to the finals you may want to stand out, be strategic and have fun.
